Our offline inspection system, the Prey Merlin, offers all the capabilities of machines more than twice the cost. Using a 5MP camera as standard, the system gives the ability to inspect almost any component. A robust yet flexible universal carrier system gives the user the flexibility to quickly insert a PCB up to 450mm x 350mm, clamp it and inspect with the press of a single button, once complete the PCB is returned to the load point ready for the next PCB to be loaded.

Prey By Detech – Merlin Offline AOI
Our offline inspection system, the Prey Merlin, offers all the capabilities of machines more than twice the cost. Using a 5MP camera, the system gives the ability to inspect almost any component. A robust yet flexible universal carrier system give the user the flexibility to quickly insert a PCB up to 450mm x 450mm, clamp it and inspect with the press of a single button, once complete the PCB is returned to the load point ready for the next PCB to be loaded.
The Merlin includes full 1D and 2D barcode reading as standard to offer a fully traceable solution that can be combined with the user friendly Prey rework suite. The Merlin combines excellent mechanical stability with the latest in 64bit software to give one of the most truly unique inspection solutions found anywhere in today’s global market.

Our brand new RGBW Lighting System comes as standard on all of our AOI products allowing for uniform lighting over an increased field view and improves the detection of shallower joints. This lighting system also has an option UV lighting upgrade option to allow for UV inspection.
Laser Height Measurement System
All of our AOI systems come with the ability to be upgraded to include our new Laser Height Measurement System which offers to ability to inspect component heights and compare these to the provided data to offer an extra layer of inspection to ensure components are placed correctly.
PCB Debugging Analysis
Our software has been designed and created from the ground up with our inhouse software developer. With us having full control over our own software, we have been able to develop additional features to enhance and simplify a programmers role when debugging PCBs. Our unique analysis feature allows the software to calculate the variables required for a component to pass the specified inspection tests, making it easier to decide whether a component should pass or fail, based on the adjustments needed.
