The Ultra-i2 is the premium Offline Selective Soldering machine within the SASinno range. Building upon the proven foundations of the Ultra-i1, the Ultra-i2 takes soldering performance to the next level with its dual drop jet fluxer configuration and twin electromagnetic pump solder pots, delivering greater versatility and throughput for demanding production environments.

The Ultra-i2 features two drop jet fluxers for high-precision flux application across the board, combined with top and bottom preheating modules to ensure thorough thermal preparation prior to soldering. The PCB is positioned and moved via an X/Y-axis table driven by servo motors, while both solder pots and drop jet fluxers are adjusted along the Z-axis using servo motors. Crucially, the two solder pots move independently along their own dedicated Z-axes, providing versatile application scenarios and allowing simultaneous or sequential soldering operations to be carried out with complete flexibility.

The Ultra-i2 supports PCB board sizes up to a maximum of 460 x 510 mm and is controlled via a Windows 11 based PC using the specialised Selective Soldering software that is tried and tested across the full SASinno machine range. Standard features include dual inline N2 heaters for nitrogen atmosphere optimisation across both solder pots, auto wave height calibration on each pot for consistent and self-adjusting solder wave performance, fiducial mark recognition for high-precision PCB positioning, and a live-on camera system for real-time process monitoring throughout the entire soldering cycle.
